Popular breakfast spot in downtown Holland, MI. The food is like homemade. Simple, but hot, tasty, and reasonably priced. Though there was about a 30 minute wait, the servers kept things moving along. Coffee was included with our meal. It was a nice visit.

Wow what a gem! Right on the main drag and a full house. Wonderful and in some cases unique menu items. Love this place. The chicken salad rap and triple grilled cheese are wonderful!!!
Our visit was during off season. I ordered a Holland omelette and it was loaded with a lot of cheese and that’s how I like it. I had the side of the huge cinnamon bun to go. Above all, my wait person Suzanne made our day with her excellent service. First ever waitress bringing extra napkins without asking. Kudos to Suzanne! Price of the 3 eggs omelette with a side of huge cinnamon role was under $13. Unbeatable! We will go back for sure.
Hashbrown omelette and the chorizo burrito were both incredibly flavorful, service is always fantastic as well. Couldn't say no to the deep fried cinnamon roll, so good!
Has brunch here today. Waited in line outside but wait was quick. Excellent service. Clean restaurant. Food was unique and very delicious. Tiny but clean bathrooms. Place was recommended by a local.
The portions are large and the service is really good. This is what you think of when you want a local place (no chains) for a solid meal. Love the atmosphere too.
Woweeeeee what a phenomenal breakfast. It really is the simple things in life. The hashbrown omelette is arguably the best I've ever had and I wasn't expecting it to be incased with crispy potato goodness. And man oh man that cinnamon roll. Wonderfully local, perfect breakfast aroma, great atmosphere, and the food was excellent. Come here, eat well, and leave with a full stomach and a smile 😊
Somehow I've never been to the Windmill, despite having grown up in Holland... But I'm definitely coming back many, many times after our great experience today! A busy summer Saturday brunch time, and we were treated with so much attention by our server Rachel! Food was fabulous. My husband got the Holland omelette and a fried (?!) cinnamon roll, I had the Denver with a side of potatoes and gluten free French toast. All were delicious, we cleared our full plates! We appreciated that coffee was refilled and simple (not too many options). Atmosphere was busy with voices and movement, but felt like a small hometown cozy breakfast nook, which we loved. Thanks for the great date experience, Windmill!
